“My mother, father, husband, son and myself stayed at the Cape Henry Inn for 2 nights. We have been home for two days and now my father, who lives 500 miles from me and myself have these unexplainable bites all over our arms, face, and back. They get worse at night. The only thing my father and I have in common as far as location is that we stayed in the same cottage together. Afterwards he went back home to his house and me to mine. The bites are close together and itchy. ”

The Bottom Line:
Past guests at the Cape Henry Inn had generally positive things to say about the location. A private beach area and pool are available, though several guests liked the public beach just as well. Lots of great restaurants and shopping are located on the nearby Virginia Beach boardwalk, as well as a nearby Bloom grocery store. Guests did not like the beds, which were described as very firm and uncomfortable, and covered with a rubber mattress protector. Some units include a kitchenette; dishes, pots and pans are included. The customer service was described as attentive and helpful, and guests thought the staff really went out of their way to fix any problems.
