The Candlewood Suites Virginia Beach is right off I-264 and close to downtown Virginia Beach. Although it is not close to the beach, they do offer a day pass at another hotel to use amenities and facilities. The hotel also does not have a pool, but guests can use the one at the neighboring Crowne Plaza. Some reviewers had a problem with this. All rooms are suites, and guests appreciated the full size fridges and dishwashers, as well as the blackout curtains and granite countertops in the bathrooms. Many reviewers, however, complained about thin walls and noise from adjoining rooms. The hotel is pet friendly. As this is a long-term stay hotel, housekeeping is not daily. Guests did appreciate the mid-week cookout arranged by management.
