Houston: Hotels with Indoor Pool
As the largest city in Texas and the fourth-largest in the United States, Houston offers a huge number of exciting activities and attractions for visitors to the city. As the epicenter of the country’s space industry, Houston draws a huge number of visitors to the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. Though many of its facilities are still in active use by the U.S. Space Program and closed to the public, visitors are welcome to the Space Center Houston complex, which is home to many historic vessels such as the Mercury 9 capsule, the Apollo 17 command module and a Saturn V rocket. Another popular destination for the culturally inclined is the Houston Museum District. Eighteen museums are located within its boundaries, including the Children’s Museum of Houston and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Those traveling with children enjoy visiting the nearby Hermann Park, which is home to dozens of attractions, including the Houston Zoo. The zoo is located on 55 acres of land and houses over 6,000 animals including exotic species such as gorillas, Asian elephants and meerkats. The Herbert A. & Elizabeth N. Kipp Memorial Aquarium is also located within the zoo's confines and displays more than 1,000 marine animals. There is also a children’s petting zoo, where kids can interact with domestic animals such as goats and sheep.
