The Hotel Palomar Dallas - a Kimpton Hotel is on the edge of the Park Cities area and walking distance to Southern Methodist University. It is across the street from the Mockingbird Station with good shops and restaurants. Prior guests enjoyed the modern decor and hardwood floors. Rooms varied, and some are large suites with jacuzzi tubs and California King beds. The hotel has a heated infinity pool, appreciated by many guests, although it is between the buildings and lacks a view. There is also pool side dining. Service is good, and the hotel offers discount coupons for the adjoining Exhale spa.
