The Bottom Line:
Guests of The Lodge at Buckberry Creek, while finding the check-in and check-out procedures to be a time-consuming process on occasion, loved the overall atmosphere of the complex - located in a place that gives many rooms a breath-taking view of the Smoky Mountains and forests, as well as Cades Cove near Gatlinburg. Some guests recommended that other patrons upgrade their rooms, if possible, to the suites as they offered many more amenities than normal, including in-room fireplaces, fluffy bathrobes, rustic decor, large bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs, and full kitchens. All of the rooms, though, were said to feature warm, comfortable blankets and towels, as well as spacious living areas. Despite the check-in procedure being criticized, the staff was generally called nice and welcoming.
