The Bearskin Lodge on The River Hotel is located in Gatlinburg right at the entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park. It is 15 minutes away from Dollywood and near many restaurants including Peddler and T.G.I. Fridays. The rooms were described as being comfortable and cozy with Tempur-pedic mattresses. Guests loved the fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and the balconies that overlook the river. There is a pool and a lazy river on the hotel property, but guests were disappointed at how small they were. Service was described as being unfriendly and brusque and guests felt staff did not offer help when needed.
