Bangkok: Romantic Hotels with Jacuzzi in Room
As the capital and largest city in Thailand, Bangkok offers innumerable activities and attractions for couples to do and see while visiting. Many choose to begin their vacation by heading to the city's two most historic Buddhist temples, Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Built in the 18th century, Wat Pho is home to more than one thousand images of the Buddha. Its most spectacular attraction is the Reclining Buddha, which is the largest representation of the deity in the world. Wat Arun, popularly known as the “Temple of the Dawn,” is perhaps the most commonly photographed attraction in Bangkok. Visitors can ascend its steps to a height of almost 300 feet, where they will enjoy spectacular views of both the temple complex and the surrounding city. Strangely, another of Bangkok’s most popular destinations is named for an American. At the Jim Thompson House, couples can view a superb collection of Asian art and extravagant displays of silk at the former home of the man who started the city’s burgeoning silk industry. Couples who simply want to sample Bangkok’s thriving restaurant and shopping scene should head to the Siam Paragon, where they will find a huge selection of both. There is also a lavish night market that opens across the street from Siam Paragon after sunfall.
