The Bottom Line:
Within minutes from Rapid City’s center, and less than an hour’s drive from attractions such as Crazy Horse Memorial and Mt. Rushmore National Monument, the Country Inn features free hotel-wide Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast buffets, and an indoor swimming pool (although small, adorned with a 100-foot water slide). Several guests highlighted the hotel’s ‘pet-friendly’ policy, and comfortably quiet guestrooms. However, numerous complaints stemmed from much-needed in-room repairs, in addition to a dire interior upgrade. Perks such as in-room refrigerators and on-site laundry facilities were appreciated, yet housekeeping standards remain sub-par, and the daily buffet holds much room for improvement.
