Orangeburg, South Carolina, is nicknamed "The Garden City" and holds the Orangeburg Festival of Roses annually. For Civil War buffs, Judge Glover's Home was the headquarters for General William T. Sherman during his bloody southern campaign in the waning days of the war. Despite the destructive nature of Sherman's campaign he gave orders that this house was to be left untouched.
