The Bottom Line:
The Avista Resort is situated on the Atlantic Ocean in North Myrtle Beach, with direct beach access and a variety of oceanfront amenities. The hotel is also near Cherry Grove Pier and notable shopping at Barefoot Landing. Guests loved the breakfast buffet, highlighted by a nice selection of southern specialties and made to order eggs. They were less impressed with the small and overcrowded pool areas. Accommodations are condo-style and spacious, with separate bedrooms, kitchenettes, and balconies. Guests appreciated the private in-room laundry facilities after long days at the beach. The hotel also features a lounge area with pool tables and a 24-hour business center.
