Myrtle Beach: Hotels with Lazy River Pool
Myrtle Beach is one of the top vacation destinations in the Southeast for both families and those seeking an active outdoor vacation. Many come to enjoy the city’s miles of pristine coastline, which is collectively referred to as the Grand Strand. With a temperate climate and ocean water that is warm for much of the year, the beaches remain open for all but the coldest winter months. Located just steps from the beach is the Myrtle Beach Skywheel, which stands 20 stories high and offers superb views of the city and the ocean. Those who do not come for the beaches typically come to play on any one of the hundreds of golf courses that dot the Myrtle Beach landscape. Most of the courses are public, leading many to refer to the city as the “golf capital of the world.” Those who prefer to spend a day shopping can find a wealth of opportunities at both Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach, each of which is home to hundreds of stores, restaurants and movie theaters. Those interested in a more cultural experience frequently visit the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum. Its collection primarily focuses on works created by Southern artists such as Jonathan Green and Dixie Dugan.
