Myrtle Beach: Hotels with Indoor Pool
As the premier resort city in South Carolina, Myrtle Beach offers a multitude of outdoor activities for visitors. It is best known for hosting more than 60 miles of unspoiled coastline, collectively known as the Grand Strand. A long boardwalk follows the beach for several miles and is crowded with numerous restaurants, bars and shops. When visitors are not relaxing in the sand, many of them head to the dozens of golf courses that are interspersed throughout Myrtle Beach. Known as the golf capital of the Southeast, the city is home to 120 golf courses that host millions of rounds of golf every year. Myrtle Beach is also known as the shopping mecca of South Carolina. The most popular areas are Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Beach Mall. Each contains hundreds of stores and dozens of restaurants and bars. Those traveling with children often head to Myrtle Waves for an afternoon. One of the largest water parks on the Eastern seaboard, it offers visitors eleven exciting water rides and slides. The Family Kingdom Amusement Park is also a popular venue for families. It features more than 30 rides that are designed to appeal to children of all ages. Those interested in taking in a night of country music often head to the Carolina Opry, which has been providing live music since 1986 and is one of the city’s most popular attractions for adults.
