The Bottom Line:
Newly renovated Holiday Inn Charleston sits directly within Charleston’s Historic District, and places guests within easy walking distance of various tourist ‘hot-spots,’ including an adjacent farmer’s market. Guests raved over their spacious rooms, yet often found them too big to be sufficiently cooled by the in-room air conditioners. While visitors found the hotel’s front desk staff incredibly knowledgeable of the surrounding area, they were especially thrilled by added perks such as free morning coffee, free afternoon lemonade, and nightly ‘gifts’ of chocolate and bottled water. Note that while there in an on-site pool, it’s much smaller in person then web photos hint at.
