The Causeway offers glimpses of the Panama Canal, the Bridge of the Americas and the Panama City skyway. Many visitors flock to the historic Casco Viejo, a seaside historic section of town adorned with colonial and cobblestone streets. Those wanting to escape the bustle of the city can retreat to Santa Catalina, a unique Panama beach destination that is relatively untouched by mainstream tourism. Known as one of the best places to surf in Central America, Santa Catalina attracts both surfers and cultural travelers itching to get a feel for the local island culture.
