“After returning home for a short stay at the Atherton Hotel is State College PA, over 150 bed bug bites started showning up on my back,arms and hands. I called the hotel and spoke with the manager. She thanked me for reporting my concerns and they had already checked the room. I asked her if they found anything, but she wouldn't tell me anything. She said they don't report their finding. WOW! Shouldn't they tell the public they are infested with bed bugs?”

“Found a live bed bug in bed on the day of departure. We both had bites. The room was less than expected. Slow plumbing that was not usuable by the third day. When attempting contact with front desk, no one was available. When filing a complaint, all they offered was a free night. Who wants to stay in a place with bed bugs even for free? And, zero compensation offered for trouble of debugging everything I had taken into the room including the itching from the bugs. Yuck. When I filed grievence with my credit card, they even complained against that still not offering any compensation for the infestation THEY caused. They know they have bugs but allow people to stay anyway - I think the state officials need to get involved to sue this place.”
