Lincoln City is a relatively small city on the coast of northern Oregon. Its location along the Pacific Ocean makes it one of top spots on the West Coast for kite flying. Accordingly, the Kite Festival held every June in Lincoln City is one of the city’s prime tourist attractions. The festival is held at the D River State Park, which also offers beach access to Wecoma Beach and fishing along the D River. The D River is a noted attraction itself for being one of the shortest rivers in the world at only 120 feet. On Wecoma Beach, tourists often line up during January and March for some of the best whale watching in Oregon. Vacationers looking for gaming and entertainment will find it at the nearby Chinook Winds Casino and Convention Center.
