Dayton is known as the birthplace of Orville and Wilbur Wright, the "fathers of flight," so it's no wonder that some of Dayton's main attractions are flight-related. The Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is located at the site of the bicycle company the Wright Brothers operated before experimenting with flight. For a great timeline of how flight has developed since, drive a few miles to the U.S. Air Force museum, which shows off military aircraft dating from World War I to the present day, including the actual plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Nagasaki. Once you're done flying around the city, relax at one of Dayton's many parks or take in a show at the Victoria Theater.
