Bed Bug Warning

No reports of theft in the last 12 months

Updated 18 hours ago

Tracking reports of housekeeping theft, stolen money, laptops, iPads, cell phones, and precious items at The New Yorker Hotel.

The Bottom Line:

Built in 1929 in the art deco style, the New Yorker Hotel was once the largest hotel in Manhattan. Guests enjoy its proximity to Penn Station, the Empire State Building and Macy’s. While most find the rooms to be clean, they do criticize them for being very small and offering only double beds. Also, some guests were upset that rooms do not contain refrigerators and coffee makers are only available upon request. Many guests noted that the hotel does not have a restaurant and does not offer room service, but many singled out nearby restaurants for praise, especially the adjacent Tick Tock Diner. Overall, most consider the New Yorker Hotel a good value in New York’s very expensive hotel market.
