The Bottom Line:
The Michelangelo Hotel is in the Theater District, very close to Radio City, Gershwin Theatre and Top of the Rock. It is across the street from the Heartland Brewery. Guests loved the soft sheets, marble bathrooms and fluffy towels and particularly appreciated the sound absorbing blackout curtains. Rooms are spacious for New York and bathrooms have soaking tubs. The amenities were much appreciated, especially the shoe mitts, writing areas, Bose stereos and turndown service with chocolates and the weather forecast. Guests liked the free daily newspaper. The free breakfast was praised, especially the cappucino. Reviewers also liked the hotel bar, but warn that drinks are pricy. Service and housekeeping were consistently complimented, and the hotel has a later than standard checkout time.
