The Bottom Line:
The New York Palace Hotel is across the street from St. Patrick's Cathedral. It is close to Fifth Avenue and Saks and a ten minute walk from Central Park. Rooms are spacious and some have wonderful views of the Cathedral. Beds are comfortable with high quality linens and rooms have flat screen televisions. Reviewers also appreciated the pillowtop mattresses and Molton Brown toiletries. Bathrooms are marble and contain micro-fiber slippers and robes. Service was consistently complimented, especially the concierge. Guests recommend getting the concierge to make restaurant reservations to avoid high hotel phone bills. The hotel offers turndown service with bedtime chocolates.
