Montauk is the easternmost town in the state of New York and is located on the South Shore of Long Island. The town is a popular tourist destination with six state parks, fishing activities and sites like the Deep Hollow Ranch, the oldest cattle ranch in the United States. Other sites to visit include the Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum, the fourth oldest working lighthouse in America, and the Memory Hotel, featured in a 1976 Rolling Stones song of the same name and is said to be the only place in Montauk with a pool table and a piano. Montauk zoning laws forbid fast food or chain restaurants. John's Pancake House on Main Street serves omelets and pancakes all day; Lenny's on the Dock serves seafood and American cuisine.
