Visitors can learn more about the cultural significance, history and evolution of sex and sexuality at New York’s Museum of Sex. Opened in 2002, the museum features a variety of rotating exhibits that are aimed to incite open discourse about the otherwise taboo act. Each new exhibit is accompanied by a series of lectures, evens and publications. The museum contains more than 15,000 artifacts that include clothing, costumes, art, photography and technological inventions.
