“I got lots of bed bug bites all over my body. This was a very painful experience and, as a result, I had to get medical treatment for months. I got a reference number from Treasure Island's Crisis Management to call after they reviewed my case. I called several times and I was always told that someone would get back to me. No-one ever did. Crisis Management did not even have the courtesy to apologize. This stay and the time after has literary been a nightmare for me. Finally, I hired an attorney but as it turns out it is more than likely that we'll face each other in court. One thing is for sure, if management at TI thinks that they can just handle this like an ostrich and stick the head in the sand and wait until I have given up, they will be proven different.”

The Bottom Line:
Originally opened as a pirate-themed resort designed for families, Treasure Island – TI Hotel now markets itself as an adult-themed resort in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Guests praise the rooms as clean, modern and reasonably priced, though many criticize the $20 resort fee that is added to the room rate. Guests gather nightly to see the free “Sirens of TI” show, which features scantily-clad men and women acting in a pirate-themed show that is heavy with loud pyrotechnics. Treasure Island is also home to the first Cirque du Soleil show to appear in Las Vegas, Mystere. Almost twenty years after opening, it remains one of the hotel’s most popular attractions for guests.
