The Bottom Line:
The Econo Lodge Beach Block is next to the Tropicana and close to the Chelsea Pub. It is only a block from the boardwalk and also from Perry's Coffee Shop, recommended by reviewers. Guests appreciated the plentiful towels and the fridge and microwave, but mentioned that the rooms were not as clean as they could be. Reviewers recommend staying on the boardwalk side of the hotel. Complaints about noise were common, with the rooms facing the street motel fashion and the walls being thin. The rooms do not have alarm clocks, but do have televisions. Internet, parking and breakfast are all included. Most guests found this to be a cheap but adequate hotel with decent service.
