Minot, North Dakota has a sizable Scandinavian population and that is reflected in the city's annual Norsk Hosfest, the largest Scandinavian festival in the United States. Held every October, the festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year and features Nordic arts and crafts, foods, folk dancing and the annual Miss Norsk Hosfest pageant winner.
