“I was staying at this hotel back in Feb 2012-March 2012. I was there for a little longer then 3 weeks for work. They had us all stay at Comfort Suites Southport hotel. I am from Las Vegas so I have stayed at a few hotels on the strip so I was used to checking the beds. We had got in very late and after like 13 hours of travel I was exhausted so I didn't check. I had little bites show up on my arms about 4 days in, they almost looked like little pimples. It just so happened on that same day they
had us switch rooms they said there was a leak under the bathroom sink. Which I had never seen in the time I had been in this room, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We were on shift so a few of the others moved all of our stuff to a room down the hall. A few days later I saw they had put other girls in our old room. I showed my roommate the bites she said I was just paranoid. I figured maybe my skin just wasn't used to the humid climate. Then a day later she got bites too. They started to swell up huge like hives but worse. I had the breakfast lunch and dinner pattern in a row and they were so itchy. It didn't seem like I was getting anymore after we switched rooms. I had went to a doctor provided by my work he didn't know what it was. My roommate and I eventually went to hospital because we had no other choice. The doctors said indeed it was bed bug bites. I was very freaked out and upset so worried I would bring them home. They did wash all of our clothes and I got alcohol and cleaned everything and kept everything in plastic bags for the rest of the time I was there. We could not move hotels so we all just stayed there. with all of us spread out over the hotel we had a total of 6 of us get bed bugs. I do not think they treat for the bed bugs I think they just let it happen since they had put 2 other people in the same room they had switched us out of a few days later. Worst experience ever.”
