“I am in construction and have been working down Cape one day short of 2 weeks. I, along with two other construction guys have decided to stay in a hotel from Monday. It seems that we have shopped around for the cheapest yet decent looking hotel for the lengh of our stay. That place seemed to be the Town House Inn here in Cape. Everything seemed to have been going alright until I noticed little red bites on my arms. I ended up going to the Doctor down here in Cape and his diognosis is consistant with bed bugs. I brought this to the Management or personal of the Hotel and was told that since I had tick bites (which were from fishing in the woods about 2 weeks ago) that is what it could be. Now keep in mind I think tick bites and bed bug bites are two different types of insects and a Board certified Doctor is the one who diognosed me with the bed bug bites. Long story short,they did manage to give us a different room after claiming that they had their beds checked out for bed bugs. We went to go wash all of our stuff and since it was late the laundry mat was closing and our clothes were still wet. We put the clothes on the railing to dry and when a hotel lady passed by, I asked her if she wanted I to leave, she said yes. She refunded me for tomorrow (Thursday) but would not refund for tonight which is Wednesday around Midnight she claimed that we were there most of the night and are due no refund. We only returned back to the hotel shortley before we were thrown out. The lady claims that I threw the paper at her and caled the cops on me. The Cop told me that I handled the situation well. Since it was so late, my friend and I had slept in his car for the rest of the night. I have reported this incident the next day with the BBB in my state and to this day, they have been no help to me at all.
