The Bottom Line:
Directly adjacent to Acadia National Park (the park’s entrance sits about one mile away), and within minutes from Bar Harbor’s town center, the Bar Harbor Motel offers guests an outdoor heated pool, and access from the lobby to the Island Explorer (the city’s free shuttle bus system). Visitors were thrilled with the motel’s location, and utilized the interconnected trail system that leads from the Bar Harbor’s rear directly into the park itself. Also highlighted was the motel’s secure storage space, specifically constructed for guests’ bikes and kayaks. With on-site parking spots, complimentary coffee and hot chocolates, and comfortably clean rooms, minor complaints concerned the building’s outdated exterior.
