The Bottom Line:
The Francis Scott Key Family Motel is about a mile from the Ocean City boardwalk, but offers a free shuttle to the beach. It is close to outlets and restaurants including Marlin's. Reviewers did find rooms small and sometimes dirty, but liked the tempurpedic beds and the kitchenettes with full-sized fridges. The motel is designed as a family resort with a pirate ship sprayground, mini-golf and indoor and outdoor pools, the former with a Caribbean theme. Reviewers with children found there was plenty for them to do on the property, as well as appreciating the beach shuttle and the kid-friendly attitude shown by the manager and staff.
