New Orleans: Hotels with Balcony
While Louisiana is home to many wonderful vacation spots, few are as unique and thrilling as New Orleans. Often referred to as “The Big Easy,” New Orleans is easily the largest and most culturally vibrant city in the state. One of its top attractions is the French Quarter, the oldest and busiest neighborhood in the city. While it hums with activity during the annual Mardi Gras celebration, the French Quarter is relatively peaceful for much of the year. It is also home to many of the city’s top destinations such as Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and Café du Monde. Those looking for a more relaxing place to visit often head to the Audobon Nature Institute. This sprawling complex consists of several facilities, including the Aquarium of the Americas and the Audobon Zoo. Both are open throughout the year and are an excellent option for those traveling with children. Travelers interested in a glimpse into the past of the city often head to the National World War II Musuem. Opened on the anniversary of D-Day in 2000, the museum displays many of the planes and tanks that were manned by American soldiers during World War II. The museum also screens films that document the experience of American soldiers during the war.
