The Bottom Line:
The Hotel Monteleone is on Royal Street close to the galleries. It is an easy walk to the French Market and the Cafe Du Monde. Guests liked the quality linens and the comfortable robes in the bathrooms. Rooms are a little on the small side and reviewers commented on a lack of counter space in the bathrooms. However, the countertops are granite and the bathrooms have lots of mirrors. Reviewers highly recommend getting a drink at the rotating Carousel Bar. They warn that this hotel does not have internet access or a business center. It does, however, have a pleasant rooftop pool and fitness center. This is a pet friendly hotel. Service received mixed reviews, and the concierge was not found to be particularly helpful.
