The Bottom Line:
The Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans French Quarter-CBD is two blocks off Canal Street and close to Bourbon Street. It is only four blocks from Harrah's. Rooms are clean with microwaves, refrigerators and large televisions with plenty of channels. The hotel is above an office building, and reviewers did find it lacked soul and New Orleans character. The hotel has a nice pool, although some guests found it crowded and noisy. Breakfast is not free, and more than one reviewer suggested eating elsewhere because of the high price. Free internet was provided. Guests found service to be very good, especially the pleasant maids and enthusiastic front desk staff.
