The Bottom Line:

Just minutes from Florence’s city center, and directly next to the Museo of Palazzo Davanzati, Hotel Davanzati occupies a Florentine building circa the early 1400s. Visitors were thrilled with in-room perks such as mini-bars, air conditioners and individual laptops (sporting free Wi-Fi). As the hotel does offer secure parking, guests were satisfied with the additional fee (around 26 euro per day). Other highlights included the complimentary daily breakfasts (featuring various espresso options), and nightly candlelit ‘Happy Hour,’ wherein guests were able, if not encouraged to mingle with other visitors.
