The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel is one of the more affordable places to stay in Maui for those who want to be close to the ocean. Situated just a short walk from Ka'anapali Beach, it offers great shopping and dining at the nearby Whaler's Village and superb snorkeling at Black Rock. Rooms are rated as merely adequate, though most guests are not particularly critical since most of their time is spent outside of their rooms. Most guests leave the hotel to dine, but many single out the Ka'anapali's breakfast buffet for praise, which is moderately priced compared to nearby hotels. Guests choosing to socialize in the hotel typically gather at the Tiki Bar. A free nightly hula show is also a top draw.
