With rooms equipped with flat screen televisions, fully stocked kitchens, washers/dryers and balconies, Honua Kai Resort sits beachside, near attractions such as D.T. Gleming Beach Park, Kapalua Beach, and Kaanapali Beach. Visitors appreciated the resort’s convenient location within Lahaina’s Kaanapali neighborhood (walking distance to Whaler’s Village), and indulged in their outdoor swimming pool, children’s club and extensive fitness center. Highlighted perks included spacious bathrooms equipped with Aveda toiletries, and ‘welcome packages’ stocked with everything from laundry detergent to freshly ground coffee. Note that while all rooms sport balconies, not all have seaside views. Guests highly recommended paying slightly more for the oceanfront ‘upgrade.’ Also consider Honua Kai as a ‘family friendly’ resort; couples seeking a romantic getaway should book elsewhere.
