The Bottom Line:
The Aqua Waikiki Wave is just behind the International Market and a five-minute walk from the beach. Guests appreciated the flat screen TVs and Hawaiian plants in the room and loved the comfortable bedding and nice pillows. Furnishings in the rooms were new. The hotel provides daily newspapers and free internet, and the closets have mirrored doors. Every room has a balcony. A number of reviewers complained about noise in the rooms, with a suggestion to request accommodation on higher floors. The largest complaint was about the pool, which is tiny and on the far side of the parking lot. Few guests used it. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and will store luggage for guests who arrive too early to check in.
