Perry, Georgia is probably best known as the location of the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter, host of the annual Georgia National Fair. The fair was started in 1990 and annually attracts over 440,000 visitors. It is an eleven day event that features agricultural shows, midway rides, live concerts and nightly fireworks shows. Just outside of Perry, Henderson Village is a resort community that features hunting, nature trails and lodging. Restaurants in Perry include the Swanson Restaurant and the Green Derby Restaurant and Bar, both featuring basic American cuisine.
