The Bottom Line:
Centrally located with Nice, Hotel Rex situates visitors within walking distance to attractions such as Old Town and Albert 1st, as well as the city’s various public transportation and famed beaches. While guestrooms are typically small, each comes equipped with air conditioning, flat screen televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi. Visitors raved over the hotel’s helpful, bilingual staff, yet often complained over the Rex’s nonexistent elevator (stairs can be difficult for mobility-challenged guests), thin walls, and dated interior. Further criticisms concerned the guestroom’s bathrooms. Alongside their minuscule showers, guests despised their malfunctioning, privacy-negating ‘doors’ (simply slats which pull shut, yet don’t reach the floor).
