Orlando: Hotels with Kitchenette
Despite its relatively modest size, Orlando is one of the most popular vacation spots in the world, owing largely to its three massive theme parks. The largest is the Walt Disney World Resort, which consists of four separate resorts within its boundaries: Disney World, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The focus of each park is different, with Disney World offering amusement park rides, Epcot displaying futuristic exhibits, Hollywood Studios featuring movie-themed attractions and Animal Kingdom serving as the resort’s zoo. When vacationers are not at Disney World, it is likely that they are visiting either SeaWorld or Universal Studios. While SeaWorld presents daily dolphin and killer whale shows, Universal Studios offers a wide selection of rides based on notable Hollywood movies, the most popular of which is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Those looking for a break from the theme parks will often make the drive to one of the city’s more unique attractions, Gatorland. A natural preserve for rescued animals, it displays more than 3,000 alligators and nearly 100 crocodiles. Those looking to spend a relaxing afternoon in a beautiful place frequently visit the Harry P. Leu Gardens, which are set on almost 50 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds as well as the Leu House Museum.
