The Bottom Line:

The Mandarin Oriental is on Brickell Key, and in a slightly secluded area. It is, though, close to the Oceanaire restaurant, and Brickell Key itself is nice for families. The hotel's signature restaurant, Azul, is highly praised. Reviewers recommend the Ocean view rooms, as the Skyline view side faces a busy bridge. Rooms are very spacious and have iPod docks with Denon sound systems and 40" flat screen televisions. The bathrooms open into the room with drapes, although the toilet is still private, and have soaking tubs. Hotel guests have unlimited access to the spa and treatments and the hotel has a private beach. The pool area was appreciated and the poolside dining was of high quality with great shrimp. Service was consistently praised.
