The Bottom Line:

The Hotel InterContinental Miami is very close to Bayside Market and convenient to the American Airlines Arena. It is also minutes from the Port of Miami. Some rooms actually have views of the port and the cruise ships. Rooms are spacious and guests loved the comfortable beds with plentiful pillows. Rooms have televisions and PlayStations, but no HDTV or refrigerators. Also appreciated were the tubs and separate walk-in showers. There is a small pool area with two hot tubs and a pool bar, but it only gets sun for a few hours a day and is only open from dawn to dusk. Service was patchy and reviewers warn that this hotel charges odd extras, such as to use the gym or handle packages.
