The Fairfield Inn & Suites Miami Airport South is very close to the airport, but about a twenty minute drive from downtown Miami. There is an airport shuttle, but it stops running between midnight and 5am, and some guests found it unreliable. Rooms are pleasant and guests liked the quality linens, but some found the beds hard. Rooms also have both wired and wireless internet and flat screen televisions. The hotel offers free continental breakfast, but some guests found it lacked variety and complained about the disposable plates. Many were concerned that the immediate neighborhood around the hotel was seedy and unsafe. Service got mixed reviews. The hotel has a strange hybrid spa pool that some guests enjoyed but others found the worst of both worlds.
