The InterContinental West Miami is close to the airport but far from South Beach in a location that requires a car. There are fast food outlets nearby. Rooms are spacious and guests appreciated the soft comforters and fluffy pillows, with beds also having pillow top mattresses. Rooms have coffee makers and televisions and reviewers liked the showers. The hotel also has an outdoor heated pool that is open twenty-four hours and guests loved the landscaping and outdoor dining areas. There is also a mini-golf course. There is a breakfast buffet and a two hour happy hour with drinks and appetizers. However, breakfast and internet incur an extra charge, cheaper when booked together. Service got mixed reviews.
