“We stayed at El Caribe a week ago, and I woke up at 6 AM to a bed bug on my pillow. I was able to trap it in a cup, and brought it down to the front desk...they acted completely nonchalant about it, and said "oh, just leave your suitcases in your car for a few hours. The heat will kill the bugs". We demanded that someone come to our room to check it out, and the person who came in admitted that they've had problems with bed bugs before. They even have these cloth bed bug covers around all the beds, but that didn't stop them from chewing holes in the fabric to escape.

The men who came to inspect our room were really nice about it and put all our clothes in their heavy duty dryer to kill the bugs, but that's literally all they did to try to "fix" the problem. They assured us that the manager would call us that day to figure out a solution, but it's been a week and we still haven't heard from them. ”
