The Bottom Line:

Stretched directly along Playa Bavaro’s white sandy coastline, NH Royal Beach offers guests several on-site bars, restaurants, swimming pools (one as a lazy river) and fitness center. Visitors were thrilled with the hotel’s complimentary breakfast options, free Wi-Fi, free parking and 24-hour room service. Also appreciated was the hotel’s complimentary drink and cool towel upon check-in. Guests found rooms spacious and comfortable, and indulged in their minibars (refilled daily), private spa tubs and terraces (some sporting spectacular views). Various guests found the hotel’s Time Share ‘sales pitch’ obnoxious and overly aggressive, as immediately upon check-in, staff began harassing guests to sign up.
