Punta Cana: Romantic Hotels with Jacuzzi in Room

Life moves slowly at Punta Cana, on the Dominican Republic’s eastern tip, leaving plenty of time for rest, recreation and romance. Many find it tough to tear away from the sugary beaches, breeze-tickled coconut palms and translucent turquoise waters, but those who venture to Manati Park are rewarded with glimpses of iguanas, flamingos, parrots and caimans in their natural environment, interactions with snakes and frolics with dolphins. The park even sneaks in a little history with a reconstructed native village complete with authentic rituals, art and costumes. More adventurous types might prefer a horseback ride or rain forest hike to Fun Fun Cave. Tourists rappel into the cave for a refreshing dip in the river inside, surrounded by stalagmites and petroglyphs. For a more leisurely walk, Teeth of the Dog golf course, perhaps the best in the Caribbean, is usually forgiving.
