“I went to the women of faith conference and stayed one night at the Renaissance Hotel in DC August 26-27 during hurricane Irene. The Motel was busy and we stayed in a room on the 10th floor - I don't think these rooms were used frequently. Beds were not comfortable and carpet was sticky. Everything else seemed good until several days later I started breaking out with bites all over my legs, arms, and torso. My daughter is a nurse and mentioned bed bugs - she steered me to the CDC website where reading about them made me realize my symptoms were classic bed bug bites - it's gross to think these critters were waiting possibly a long time to feed on me at this hotel! I've fumigated, cleaned my house, bagged my suitcase, and never plan to return.”
