Washington DC: Hotels with Kitchenette

Washington, D.C. concentrates numerous sights in a relatively small area.  Begin by taking the elevator to the top of the Washington Monument for a view that will help plan a route to the White House, Lincoln Memorial and Capitol.  The museums of American History (Smithsonian) and Natural History, on the north side of the National Mall, have plenty of kid-friendly attractions, including dinosaur skeletons, hands-on experiences and exhibits honoring such notable Americans as Kermit the Frog.  On the south side of the Mall is the National Air & Space Museum.  From the Wright brother’s plane to Apollo 11, this is the largest collection of air and spacecraft on earth and the world’s most popular museum.  Finally, take public transportation to the National Zoo in Rock Creek Park, where Asian elephants and giant pandas roam habitats,  400 species await and admission is free.
