The Hotel Palomar Washington DC - a Kimpton Hotel is just off Dupont Circle. Nearby dining options include Al Tiramisu. Guests liked the 'fur' blankets and animal print robes. The decor is hip with such touches as purple chaise longes with animal print blankets. Rooms are large and the beds were comfortable with high thread linens and soft pillows. Guests note that some high-end suites have jacuzzi tubs and stair climbers in the rooms. The fitness center was also enjoyed by guests. Greatly praised were the free morning coffee and afternoon wine receptions. The hotel is pet friendly with a dog park nearby. Internet is free only to members of the Kimpton loyalty program. Service was exceptional with touches such as free newspapers and jogging maps.
