Prague: Hotels with Kitchenette
Along with being one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. Many begin their vacation by visiting the city’s historic Old Town district. Filled with numerous well-preserved Medieval buildings, Old Town is also home to popular attractions such as the Old New Synagogue and the Astronomical Clock. The synagogue was built in 1270 and is one of Prague’s first Gothic structures, while the clock was constructed in the early 15th century and is the oldest such clock in the world that is still working. Many visitors also make time to visit the Prague Castle, the largest castle in the world. This massive complex has buildings dating back to the 10th century and is the home of the Czech Crown Jewels. Within Prague Castle, vacationers can also visit the royal vineyards, numerous gardens and a host of palaces and churches. Those visiting Prague with children often make a stop at the Prague Zoo. Considered to be one of the finest zoos in the world, it is home to almost 700 species, including exotic animals such as vultures, polar bears and giraffes. Travelers looking to experience some of Prague’s rich artistic history often visit the National Museum. Founded in the early 19th century, its permanent collection consists of over 14 million items.
